Corporate Structure
The Club’s insurance business is conducted by The United Kingdom Mutual Steam Ship Assurance Association Limited (operating through its head office in the UK and branches in Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore) and UKNV through the EEA. UK(Bermuda) acts as the Club's internal reinsurer. UK(Bermuda) holds approximately 90% of the Club's funds and manages their investment. The Club’s policyholders are all members of The United Kingdom Mutual Steam Ship Assurance Association Limited.
We are regulated in the UK by the PRA. All members have full access to the UK P&I Clubs’ global offering regardless of which local branch they come through.
Members’ Committee
Solely comprised of elected members, our Members’ Committee reflects the breadth and diversity of our membership, including representation from across a range of geographies, trades and company sizes. It focuses on the interests of our membership, which are primarily matters related to shipping and our services. The committee is consulted by the Boards on strategic matters including proposals to reduce or increase premiums.
Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors sets and evaluates the UK P&I Club's strategy, ensuring that we meet our goals and fulfil our commitments to members and other stakeholders.
The Board includes a variety of specialists in finance, underwriting and reinsurance to ensure that we have the most relevant expertise and insight to lead the Club effectively.
