From 1st July 2016 the US Coast Guard has an amended CG-2692 form for marine casualty reporting. The new form has been streamlined to ease the burden of reporting.

What has changed?

The new form contains several changes, including the following:

New addendum forms added
Forms can now be completed electronically and includes a digital signature feature
Titles and labels have been amended to more closely align with the text and terms found in US statutory and regulatory language
Superfluous data fields have been removed
