China ECAs Summary

From 1st January 2017, all the key ports (i.e. Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Tangshan, Huanghua, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Shanghai, Ningbo-Zhoushan, Suzhou and Nantong ) within the three China ECAs will implement the low sulphur bunker requirements. 2016 Autumn Statement

The Club's performance over the first six months of the year has been extremely strong. After six months of the year, total notified claims on the prudently reserved 2016 policy year are encouraging with few large claims within the Club or Pool retentions. Claims on prior policy years have also developed favourably. Full details of the Club's half year financials are available in the attached '2016 Autumn Review'.
The People's Republic of China ratified the Maritime Labour Convention 2006 ("MLC") on 12 November 2015, which was the 68th State to ratify the Convention. The Convention came into force in China on 12 November 2016, one year after the ratification.

On Wednesday 5th October the New Jersey offices hosted the annual Bodily Injury Seminar. The event is now in its 12th year and attracts increasing numbers of attendees from both US and non-US based operators.
